Panel 1 — New space of deterrence – security perspectives of the Baltic Sea

Strengthening the current and future cooperation in the region aimed at the development of defence capability is of high importance. Within this panel, the speakers will be invited to discuss inter alia the possible changes from the geopolitical perspective after Finland and Sweden join NATO. How will NATO enlargement influence the security situation in the region? Is the Baltic Sea going to become a new space of deterrence?
